The Final Tour, Up Close & Personal, York Barbican, Apr 7
York Press
March 30, 2012

The Osmond brothers are bidding farewell to British audiences after more than five decades by undertaking their longest tour, 50 dates in all.
On the road from March 9 to May 5, the Utah family members will be appearing in York on April 7, when they will perform such hits as Down By The Lazy River, Let Me In, Love Me For A Reason and Crazy Horses, plus Little Jimmy’s 1972 number one, Long Haired Lover From Liverpool. He last appeared on a York stage as smooth lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago in April 2009 at the Grand Opera House.

“We truly want this tour to be a great big thank you to all our fans for their love and support through the years,” says Jimmy, who will be singing alongside Wayne, Merrill and Jay.

“We’ve performed in the UK many times, but this final tour will take us all around the UK and allow us to get up close and personal with our fans. We can’t wait!”

Between them, the Osmonds have recorded more than 200 albums, selling 100 million copies with 59 gold and platinum discs – but before you ask, please note that Donny and Marie will not be performing in the 7.30pm show. Box office: 0844 854 2757.
